About the Role

This is a true “Learn & Earn” position – the perfect entry point into the growing fire protection industry. You will work side-by-side with experienced Fire Extinguisher, Fire Alarm, and Fire Sprinkler technicians while getting paid to learn valuable, in-demand trade skills. No prior fire protection experience is required, but a strong work ethic and desire to build a long-term career are a must.

Requirements

What You’ll Do (Daily Responsibilities)


  • Assist senior technicians with inspection, testing, service, and installation of:

    • Portable fire extinguishers

    • Fire alarm systems (conventional and addressable)

    • Wet, dry, and special-hazard fire sprinkler systems

    • Emergency/exit lighting and suppression systems (clean agent, kitchen hood, etc.)


  • Carry tools and equipment, stage materials, and keep job sites clean and organized

  • Perform basic tasks under direct supervision (recharging extinguishers, replacing sprinkler heads and alarm devices, pulling wire, mounting equipment, hydrostatic testing, etc.)

  • Complete required paperwork and digital reports using mobile apps/tablets

  • Maintain company vehicle stock and perform basic vehicle/equipment maintenance

  • Deliver outstanding customer service while representing the company professionally


What We’re Looking For


  • Minimum 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 1+ years of experience desired in any of these areas (highly preferred but not required):

  • Construction, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, low-voltage, or mechanical trades

  • Military service (especially technical MOS/rates)

  • Automotive/diesel mechanic or similar hands-on work


  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

  • Comfortable working on ladders, in attics, on lifts, and in commercial/industrial environments

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn

  • Reliable transportation and excellent attendance record

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work in varying weather conditions
